Solution for flushing new shoots simultaneously on durian

During durian cultivation, stimulating uniform bud flush (synchronized shoot growth) is a key objective for many growers. However, achieving uniform bud break across all trees in an orchard is not easy, as each tree has its own unique growth characteristics.

Benefits of Stimulating Uniform Bud Flush in Durian:

Makes it easier to apply pest and disease control measures during the shoot development stage, such as managing caterpillars, leafhoppers, and fungal diseases

Promotes the formation of a uniform leaf canopy, which supports more synchronized and manageable flowering

Reduces scattered or uneven flushing during flowering and fruiting stages

However, synchronizing new shoot flush across the entire orchard is challenging. This is due to natural variations among the trees—differences in cultivar, cultivation conditions, environment, nutrient absorption capacity, and yield from the previous season.

To trigger new shoot growth, in addition to applying fertilizers high in nitrogen and phosphorus, it is also important to supplement with Gibberellic Acid (GA3), a plant growth regulator. GA3 is a growth hormone that stimulates the initiation and development of new shoots.

At the shoot-flush stimulation stage, growers can spray G3Top 3.33SL at a rate of 100 ml per 200 liters of water to help boost vegetative growth and promote fast and synchronized bud flushing.
