Chapter 03: Nguyễn Hồng Vinh – Trà Vinh Province

At the age of 12, Hồng Vinh became an orphan, losing both his father and mother. The small house that offers shelter from the sun and rain is the only legacy his parents left behind.

Moved by their grandson’s misfortune, Vinh’s maternal grandparents have devoted themselves to raising and supporting him so he could continue his education. In return, out of love and gratitude for his grandparents, Vinh has remained a top student for 12 consecutive years, carrying with him a spirit of optimism and unwavering determination.

The path toward Hồng Vinh’s dream of becoming a teacher remains full of challenges, but she continues to believe in herself. “Where there is will, there is a way”—and for Vinh, that way includes the presence of her grandmother and, more importantly, the collective support of the wider community.

To support her journey, the “My Dream – Phú Nông – Making a Difference” scholarship awarded Vinh a main scholarship worth 10,000,000 VND, along with two brand-sponsored scholarships:

Trobinplus 400SC – specialized in treating rice leaf and panicle blast

AntiOne 200SC – effective against bacterial leaf blight (leaf margin burn)

Each brand scholarship is valued at 2,000,000 VND.

In addition, eight hardworking students from the school also received scholarships of 1,000,000 VND each, as a way to encourage their academic spirit and determination.

General Information about the “My Dream – Phú Nông – Making a Difference” Scholarship:
1. Broadcast Schedule:
6:00 PM, every fourth Monday of the month on Hậu Giang Radio and Television, as well as on the digital platforms of the station and Phú Nông Co., Ltd.
2. Scholarship Coverage:
Implemented across 13 provinces in the Mekong Delta region.
3. Scholarship Criteria:
Main recipient: High school students (with priority given to 12th graders).
Requirements: From poor or near-poor households, good family ethics, strong personal determination to pursue education. Academic performance should preferably be at a “good” or “very good” level.
Supplementary scholarships: For students in difficult circumstances selected by the school.
